Meadow View Plants

Welcome to Meadow View Plants!

Bank Holiday Monday 29th August we will be at Stonyford Cottage Plant Fair. We have lots of lovely plants to display & some are straight from our floral Marquee display at Southport Flower Show.

On Sunday 4th September we will be at Ness Botanic Gardens for our final plant fair of the year. The gardens at Ness look beautiful at this time of year so well worth a visit!

HOT OFF THE PRESS!

On Thursday 18th August Meadow View Plants was awarded a Silver Gilt medal for our first ever Floral marquee display & we are thrilled! Displaying in the prestigious floral marquee is a step up from our usual plant fairs & although challenging & very hard work, I've really enjoyed the experience. Everyone has been very complimentary about the garden & on the first day of the show we sold a record amount of plants.

My name is Sue Gillon & I run a small nursery selling the traditional & the more unusual cottage garden plants.

Group visits from gardening societies, U3A etc are recommended for the months of June & July when the herbaceous borders look at their best!

We don't own a conventional nursery, the small nursery area is part of our garden & unfortunately we aren't available to welcome visitors on a daily basis.

Throughout the growing season my husband, Allan & I attend local plant fairs & flower shows in Lancashire & Cheshire.

We would like to welcome old & new visitors to our site.

Visits to the garden & nursery are by appointment only & we ask you to contact us by phone or email.

I HOPE IF YOU VISIT US YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING "DIFFERENT" IN OUR PLANT SALES AREA, BUT IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER YOU PURCHASE A PLANT OR NOT, PLEASE FEEL YOU CAN COME & ENJOY OUR NEWLY CREATED GARDEN. IT'S AN ONGOING PROJECT!

You are welcome to stroll round & enjoy the gardens free of charge. Have a look at our photographs! We can provide home made cake & tea/coffee with a little prior notice for a small charge for gardening groups or just small groups of friends who would like to visit together.

Since August 2013 we have been very busy creating new flower borders & we have made a new nursery area containing some exciting new acquisitions & of course the old favourites.

We hope you will come & visit us very soon to enjoy the newly planted informal cottage garden & perhaps select a plant or two from the new sales area! I also sell plants at the Mere Sands Wood wildlife trust near Rufford. The centre is open every day except Monday.
